About Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) is also known as physiatry or rehabilitation medicine. Our goal as your doctor is to improve and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. We are called Physiatrists.
Unlike other medical specialties that focus on a medical “cure,” the goals of the physiatrist are to maximize patients’ independence in activities of daily living and improve quality of life.
Physiatrists design individualized patient plans, and we are integral members of your care team. We utilize cutting-edge as well as time-tested treatments to maximize function and quality of life for our patients. Our patients at this clinic can range in ages 16-120 years old.
We are either a Medical Doctor (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) depending on which program we trained in for medical school. Dr. Drozdowicz trained at MCP/Hahnemann University School of Medicine ( now known as Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia where she earned her MD in 2000.
